dear diary, it’s complicated and stupid, got my ass squeezed by sexy cupid, guess he wants to play, wants to play a lovegame, a lovegame.
Natalie Dormer for Face Up'Face Up' is part of the charity's global Because I Am A Girl campaign, which aims to champion girls' rights across the world. Through it, Plan hopes to ensure that all girls can live safe from violence, gain an education, marry who they wish and have their voices heard. The primary focus of the campaign is to end Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) and prevent child marriage in a generation. Currently, more than 3.5 million girls are at risk from FGM across the globe, and a young girl is forced into marriage every two seconds. (x)
"Dear diary, I have seen my future. It is pink and wrapped in silk.”
"It was in the fall when I realized the world I had known was forever doomed. I knew I was about to enter the gates of hell, but like the inescapable pull of gravity there was nothing I could do about it”
im so sick of the bloody sexualisation of breasts to raise awareness for their health
like whenever there is a a campaign to raise awareness for breast cancer it has to be pink and show the “feminine” aspects of breasts by calling breasts by slang terms like “boobs” or “girls”
BREAST CANCER IS A FUCKING DISEASE THAT AFFECTS REAL LIVING PEOPLE do we have to be sexualised in every part of our daily lives, including our diagnosis?????
it totally perpetuates the idea that people with breasts’ body is valuable if it fits within the criteria of what is “conventionally attractive”
and it’s obvious that a cancerous body is unattractive, therefore not valuable
so we fucking OPENLY SEXUALISE A PERSON’S BODY TO RAISE AWARENESS FOR IT’S HEALTH
Something Does Not Need To Be sexualised for It To Be Important !!!!!!!
it’s also a really transphobic practice because campaigns are typically “feminine” and use non-anatomic terminology, but as we all know, not all women have breasts and there are men who have breasts so ????? where does it leave this demographic?????? where is the comfort for a trans man who is diagnosed with breast cancer?????
if you want some examples :
"I’m not gay…"
"But I am bi"
